International Gap Junction Conference
July 25-29, 2026, Padua, Italy

Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to welcome you to IGJC 2026, taking place in Padova (Padua), Veneto, Italy, just steps away from Venice. For more than 40 years, the biannual IGJC has served as a leading forum for the international community of scientists studying connexin, innexin, and pannexin biology.
Our program spans the full spectrum of research—from fundamental biophysics to human health and disease in different organs and systems—promoting the exchange of ideas, stimulating collaboration, and advancing the field. We are also committed to spotlighting trainees and early-career investigators while offering professional development opportunities designed to support career growth.
Beyond presenting groundbreaking science and strengthening professional connections, IGJC 2026 will feature a variety of social activities to enjoy together while taking in the striking views Padova, immersing in its rich history, and visit the renowned Scrovegni Chapel with Giotto’s celebrated paintings. The region is equally well known for its diverse cuisine, wines (not just Prosecco!), charming neighborhoods, and nearby historic landmarks.

We sincerely thank you for joining us and look forward to welcoming you in Padova for an inspiring and rewarding experience focused on connexin, innexin, and pannexin research.
